As 2018 winds to a close, I am preparing for a busy 2019. busier than I had anticipated.
* Around the end of Nevember, the CD In a Large and Lonesome Land was released.
I had the pleasure of recording songs written by the accomplished author and poet
John D. Nesbitt of Wyoming and accompanied by some of the finest musicians in
Texas. Discuassions relative to a tour built around the CD will be undertaken
sometime in early 2019. The CD, I am told, has already been nominated for several

At the urging of editors, agents, producers, and others, I have committed to posting on this blog site more than once every year or two . . . .
Up-to-date book news: Releases this year include:
Billy the Kid: Investigating History's Mysteries. From TwoDot Publishing, this is the
first in the new Cold Case series. The book is doing well, has generated a number
of speaking gigs, and will be the subject of a couple of forthcoming television
programs. Work is underway on the next two Cold Case projects.
North American Pirates and Their Lost Treasure. From August House, Inc., the
publishing company that started it all. This is the latest in the W. C. Jameson's Lost
Mines and Buried Treasure Series.
Scheduled for release in early 2019: Rocky Mountain Train Robberies and Lost and Buried Treasures of the Civil War.

I am asked all the time about what kind of treasure-hunting projects I’m involved with. I thought I would take a moment and let you know what I have been up to lately.
At the top of this blog page is a photo of a pan of gold nuggets. What you see is the result of one or two dips of the pan into the gold-filled stream gravels associated with the famous Lost Adams Diggings. The panning, as well as the photograph, was done by my partner, Earl Theiss.
This most recent trip to the Lost Adams Diggings was my twelfth. The first five or six were spent determining the true identity of the canyon. When that was accomplished to our satisfaction, all that was left was to find the gold that has long been associated with this elusive location.
And find it we did! We are now in the process of planning future trips wherein we will spend most of our time panning nuggets out of the stream.
I’ll keep you posted.
